Daily Chapel and New Links

The Seminary has LIVE daily chapel! You can watch it live at 10 AM Eastern time. The services last an average of 30 minutes.

We added a button on the right of this blog that says Chapel, that is a quick link to the Seminary chapel web site where you can watch the live or recorded chapel services.

If you watch live you can see the people coming in and the entire service. If you watch an older one you will just see the sermon. The fun thing is that you can see us! I am only there Tuesdays and Thursdays this quarter but Bryan is there every day. This is a picture from the Thursday sermon, see us on the far right? If you tell us a specific day you are going to watch we can wave at you as we come it!

We had some requests to make an Amazon needs list. We included that link on the right under the Chapel link also. We will be adding all our books for the next quarter in the next week or two.

October Fun

It is already October! I am not sure where the time has run off to! The leaves are turning such brilliant colors and the wind carries them all around like it is raining big bright rain drops of leaves! This is my favorite time of year. The cool air has arrived, our plants that don't like cold have been brought in the house and the heater has been started up! Socks, sweatshirts, warm blankets and a cup of hot something to drink is how you will find me in the evenings after the kids are in bed working on homework! October brought us our first over night guests in our new home! My parents drove all the way from Oklahoma to spend a couple days with us! Sadly none of us took many photos while they where here. Just one group photo while out to dinner!

My parents drove me and the kids to Ohio one of the days to visit family! Uncle Bob and Aunt Sue! I had not been to their house since I was a child! It was like I was blasted from the past with memories when I walked in! We had a nice visit and again, failed to take pictures! I have pictures from the long drive of the kids!

See the bears Dalton is holding? My parents, lovingly called Papa and Agogo gave each of their grandchildren a small stuffed animal and then they kept one exactly like it. When they go places they take all their grandchildren with them through their stuffed animals! Our kids love to see pictures, from Papa and Agogo's travels, with the stuffed animals that represent themselves! In this picture Dalton is holding his bear as well as Papa and Agogo's bear!

We are finishing our 7th week of this 10 week quarter. In our Gospel I course we studied Matthew 26:17-30 the Lord's Supper this week. My second exegetical paper was due over that content and with Bryan's editing assistance, I proudly turned it in class this morning. I think we will be very ready for the 2 week break from classes that is coming at the end of the quarter. Academic quarters instead of semesters are good, but fast and intense!

Rory was sick one day and another day had a dental appointment so she has now attended two Gospels classes with us! She found a place in the corner to color.

Rory and I matched, her class uniform and my Deaconess garb!

Fall is upon us! Check out these pictures from campus.

Our own front yard is changing colors too.

We attended a Phoebe Festival at the Seminary.

Just Life, Dalton fell at the playground and hit his nose hard! He has been healing but he looks a little beat up. Rory has now lost 4 teeth! I think all she is going to want for Christmas are her 4 front teeth! :)

Before the missing teeth and bruised faces we got our family picture taken for the Seminary directory. From the picture you would never know what happened before hand. It was a Sunday, we attended a church that had a cook out afterwards. It happened to be a cold day and it rained. The kids did not seem to care, they played on the big bounce house slide and maze! Afterwards soaking wet we dropped by our friends the Selking's home where they let us toss Dalton's pants and Rory's Dress in the dryer for a bit before we drove back to town. Dalton fell asleep on the way and I even carried him in asleep then woke him up to get the pictures taken. He was not in the happiest of moods but guess what! The picture turned out lovely!

We hope all of you are having a wonderful October!
