Final Summer Adventures!
We took a day trip to Chain O' Lakes State Park
We happened to catch an amazing Monarch Butterfly presentation.
We also looked inside the old one room school house.
We showed the kids the common toys of the times. Interestingly enough we have recently played all these games with them!
Still had to wash their hands just in a different manor.
Hiking around the lakes was just beautiful.
We spotted some animal tracks so Bryan told the kids about them.
After our hike we went swimming! This is a park we hope to visit again!
The last weekend of Nana and Papa's stay, they took the kids away Friday evening so Bryan and I could have a date night for our 15th wedding anniversary. Here is one of my favorite photos from our wedding. Married at Camp Lutherhoma - this photo shows that if you zoom in you might just think everything is picture perfect, but when you take a step back you may capture life, just as it is including duct tape on the outside of the window that was surly used as aids in one of the famous Summer Camp Skit Productions of that Summer.
When we joined everyone Saturday at Twin Mills Camping Resort on North Twin Mills Lake.
We found them all fishing.
Ellie observing Rory and Dalton play with the bate.
Zach got a big one!
Ellie and Rory got one too.
Three generations of fishermen.
Rory and Dalton LOVED swimming with their cousins!
It is always fun to play in the dirt and sand!
Thanks to the cousins for the Awesome Trucks!
Meal time! Keah sat at the kids table.
Nana and Papa gave early birthday gifts to Dalton.
I think someone is ready to go to the beach!
maybe two someones?
Game time
Fun Crew!
This is how the end of every great trip should end... all tuckered out!
