The online Seminary courses started full swing classes as usual only not in person! Set times, same course load, assignments due on time, make sure you attend and participate! Pretty normal just not in person. Here is my set up for one of my classes.
Only one of Bryan's and my course times overlapped. So we both took a child with us and attempted a live class. This is how it started with me and Dalton. He was so quiet and doing his thing. Then he needed something, then something else... and then something else and well lets just say that was not a good class time. I am so thank full to my class and professor who changed the time of the class to accommodate my family! They moved class time to an hour and a half earlier!
To celebrate St. Patrick's Day we had green eggs and ham!
Thanks to our neighbors who lent us green food coloring so this was possible!
On the cold rainy days we have a very nice large garage which is now where we can let the kids get their wiggles out!
Scooter riding time
We even had dinner picnics in the garage!
Activities to entertain children while the other of us is doing live classes or studying includes hungry hippo game (Thanks Aunt Kristin and Uncle Mark)
...marbles, which Dalton is pretty good at!
furniture rearranging or blockading... or something
Bryan had his 40th Birthday! We could not have a big party with friends over, but he was surprised with a friend drive by! It was great to see our friends and chat with them while maintaining our social distance! Thanks Jeremy, Dana and kids, Micah, Audrey and kids and Dale! You guys made the day special for Bryan as well as all our friends and family who messaged, called or sent letters! Thanks you all!
Hopscotch
Butterfly art
We had fun with the sidewalk chalk on the dry sunny days.
While classes where not in full swing we had time to get pictures hung around the house! About time we did this! So here are some.
Office and guest room Our Haiti and Malawi art.
Living room more Malawi and family art.
Rory's Room
Dalton's Star wars
We got the measuring stick up as well as a space for the kids artwork!
Our Room (So I might need to put pictures in the window...)
With warmer weather comes the squirrels! Chewy is ever on guard to protect us from those pesky critters!
Church services moved to online also. Which is hard, along with all social distancing. We miss the human interaction at our church here. However, because our church is online we are now able to attend our home church and our church here! So Sundays are full of church services that we get to see. What strange times to be a Pastor and take care of the flock God has assigned you. It is interesting to see what different churches and Pastors are doing! This picture is the kids listening to the children's sermon during St. Johns Lutheran Church, Oklahoma service.
The Seminary clothing co-op is closed during this time but the food co-op is still serving the students best they can while maintaining safe distances and little human interaction. They have done drive through pickups where we do not even get out of the vehicle, just let them put stuff in the back and go on our way. They continue to bless the students' families in these trying times!
Out like a lamb. Because of the crazy life style change, homeschooling Rory, trying to meet the demands of Seminary courses while keeping Dalton entertained, food in our bellies and a semi clean house, oh, and some work from home from me, March just left unnoticed and April entered our lives!
This is me holding one of our baby lambs in Malawi Africa when we lived there for 3 years as Peace Corps Volunteers. You can see more of that 3 years at our blog from while we where there at http://lettersfrommalawi.blogspot.com/
